World AMR Awareness Week 2023
In recognition of 2023 World Antimicrobial Awareness Week, the AMR Industry Alliance held two webinars:
Multistakeholder Engagement in the Fight against AMR – Increasing Responsible and Equitable Access to Antimicrobials discussed the importance of action on antimicrobial resistance from public and private stakeholders, as well as barriers and solutions to access to antimicrobials. The Importance of Diagnostics in the Fight Against AMR – Improving Stewardship and Appropriate Use discussed the critical role diagnostics play in the appropriate use and stewardship in the fight against antimicrobial resistance. Our panelists discussed public and private sector collaboration, diagnostics in the context of stewardship, the role of National Action Plans, and the 2023 winner of the Stewardship Prize:
